In 1965 I drove to Acapulco with a girlfriend from Regina in her MG Midget and fell in love with Mexico. I came again the following year for a vacation – this time in my own MG Midget! My connection was deepening. Fast forward. We retired, left Canada and after sailing for ten years we sold our boat and wondered where we would settle. I told my husband I wanted to go back to Mexico and we did. We read a book called Choosing Mexico and were very impressed with the highly developed infrastructure in place for ex-pats which was important for us.
