We used to come to Mexico as snowbirds. We would come for five years to Guayabitos (a beach area) for two months and then here for two months, spending March and April here at Lakeside. We would drive down from Alberta. We left the cold behind so I guess primarily we came due to the great climate but it is so much more than that! It is so awesome here, I call it my Camelot. The people – the beautiful Mexican people – they are my friends. I have never personally run into any crime in the ten years we have lived here full time. When we first moved down here, my family thought they would never see us again – lol – but my friends and family have come and visited and love the Lakeside area.
